Why should you consider gifting hard-earned money to the Old Post Office Museum & Art Center?
What significance does it bring to our community or yourself?
Our passion is to research, preserve and promote the history and art of our unique part of Texas. History shapes our understanding of who we are, where we come from and why we think the way we do. Those who don't know their history or history of the area they choose to live and establish roots, tend to live "rootless", or with no understanding of the greater community or area around them...for instance, What matters the most to the citizens of this community? Why are certain decisions made while others are so quickly dismissed? What makes this community so unique from the rest of the world? Why are people the way they are when they're from Young County?!
Young County creates citizens that are strong, rugged, innovative, hard-working, dedicated, and land loving. We, at the OPOMAC, want to make it easier to understand the area, the people and the "Grahamness" that comes with being a pioneer of this part of Texas. It's unique...it's beautiful...and it's worth knowing. We want to help with that.
Every dollar donated pushes this mission forward...whether that is paying those who research, plan, display or interact; bringing in unique exhibits to broaden our minds, while also creating enjoyment and further education of our citizens; preserving the historical components of our beautiful, but old, building; or allowing us to develop programs and classes that fit the needs and wants of our community.
Be part of the progress as we move towards a better understanding and appreciation of our past through artifacts, stories, art and people.
Old Post Office Museum & Art Center is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) organization. Donors may deduct contributions due to our non-profit status.
Contribution letters will be sent out with qualified donations.
Thank YOU!
