The 2014 Officers of the Old Post Office Museum & Art Center:
The PRESIDENT shall preside at all meetings, appoint all committees, and serve as ex-officio member of all committees except the Nominating Committee. The President, together with the Executive Committee, will approve all expenditures and activities with Board approval, may make contracts, accept grants and loans, borrow money, and make investments on behalf of the Organization. The President serves as Chairman of the Board and of the Executive Committee.
The VICE PRESIDENT presides at all meetings in the absence of the President and shall act in the President's absence. The Vice President is a non-voting Chairman of the Nominating Committee.
The SECOND VICE PRESIDENT serves on the Finance Committee and acts in the absence of the President and Vice President.
The SECRETARY maintains a roll of all active members and keeps a record of all business transacted by the Organization during regular or special meetings. The Secretary is responsible for correspondence received and answers all correspondence as directed by the President. The Secretary is responsible for sending notice of all meetings and shall determine if there is a quorum present for the meeting.
The TREASURER is in charge of all funds belonging to the Organization and an account of all monies received and/or disbursed. The Treasurer's report will be made at the quarterly meetings of the Board, the annual membership meeting, and accounts shall be signed by the Treasurer and countersigned by the Executive Director. The Treasurer serves as a member of the Finance Committee.
The EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR of OPOMAC shall be the chief administrative officer and will oversee the day-to-day operation of the Museum and Art Center. The Executive Director is responsible for training all personnel (paid or volunteer) and have duties that the Board desires. The Executive Director, together with the Treasurer, shall sign all checks written on the OPOMAC accounts. The Executive Director is not a voting member of the Board. The Executive Director reviews all Museum & Art Center activities at the quarterly Board meetings and at the annual membership meeting.
